The Barnegat Light Restoration Project is a cooperative effort between the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ, Rutgers University, the US Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife to improve habitat suitability for endangered beach-nesting birds, especially the Piping Plover.
